Bumrungrad Hospital Public Company Limited ("Bumrungrad") of Thailand and Ulaanbaatar Songdo Hospital ("UBSD") of Mongolia have entered into a strategic investment and partnership agreement to better serve the health needs of Mongolia and the region.
Bumrungrad is recognized worldwide for developing one of the leading medical destinations for international patients seeking high quality healthcare. Its medical center in Bangkok was the first Asian hospital accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), the international arm of the organization that reviews and accredits American hospitals. Bumrungrad serves patients from 190 countries across the Americas, the Middle East, Europe, Australia and Asia.
With the investment and strategic partnership with Bumrungrad, the management of the new joint venture at UBSD will offer exemplary diagnostic and treatment services and implement global best practice management processes. UBSD and Bumrungrad together aim to develop a preferred treatment destination for patients in Mongolia and the region.
The partnership with Bumrungrad will open the door for over 40,000 Mongolian patients annually to receive specialized diagnostics and treatment at UBSD, reducing the need for many Mongolians to seek evaluation and care outside the country. The reorganization of UBSD with the entry of Bumrungrad will also prepare the hospital to serve as an important training base for local healthcare professionals.
It is with pleasure that Ulaanbaatar Songdo Hospital announces its partnership with Bumrungrad in support of its vision to provide best healthcare practices and assist in the development of Mongolian medical science.
